The fifth round of the Political Consultative Committee between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Austria was held in Vienna on 8 April 2025. In this round of consultations, Dr. Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of Iran, and Dr. Nikolaus Marschik, Secretary General of the Austrian MFA, exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral relations issues as well as the latest regional and international developments. The two officials also emphasized their determination to expand and strengthen bilateral relations in various fields based on mutual respect and common interests, referring to the historical and friendly relations between the two countries, which dates back more than 500 years.
